The headless Watch AI
aiwatch20x.bat runs the same Watch AI with no window and no sound, fast-forwarded. In ten runs of 30 to 50 minutes it ran at 12x to 16x game speed with 0 Unity errors, even with the graphics device off. The visible aiwatch.bat used for streaming is unchanged.
Five faults that were the AI's, not the game's
- The dive kit was packed with repair parts for a station that was already stable, so the suit was full before it reached the item it came for.
- Dives left a stable station after 80 seconds, before the Storage Bay and Laboratory were searched.
- The ship's rounds walked down the open basement hatch and could not get back.
- The workshop spent the very materials the town builds ask for.
- The AI searched the wrong rooms first.
The method that found them is the useful part. A stash log written after each salvage dive pinpointed in minutes what hours of watching had not. An opened container empties into the suit at once, so a suit full of common loot has no room left for what matters.
Per-site skies and quests
Each site now has its own sky, sea and horizon. Leviathan's crew requests, mini golf, tiki bar and the key offer go quiet while the ship is over another site, and the captain briefs the site's own card. The explosion cutscene plays only when the station blows or is made stable.
