One name
From today the game's name is simply AFTERSHOCK. The world map screen's header used to read "STARFALL LEGION", and the credits showed a "STAR LEGION" line under the title. The map header now says AFTERSHOCK, and the extra credits line is gone, so the wordmark stands on its own. The title screen still has a small "STAR * LEGION" line above the wordmark, which has not been changed yet.
This change is compiled, not yet run, so neither screen has been seen with the new name.
Why the save folder keeps the old name
The window title and the place where saves are kept still use the old, longer name, and that is deliberate. Changing them would move where existing saves live, so a rename there is not a cosmetic change: it decides whether a returning player's progress is still found.
Those two names change only once old saves can be carried across to the new place, and that move has been tested. Until then, the name on the screen and the name behind it are allowed to differ. A rename that reaches into the save path is a data migration, and it gets treated like one.
Everything else
Nothing else changed this week. The platform, controller, teammate and drawing speed work from 12 October is built and compiles, but none of it has been played yet.
